About Seafety AI

Seafety AI

Pioneering Taiwan’s Autonomous Maritime Future

Established in April 2023, incubated by the Ship and Ocean Industries R&D Center (SOIC) and with the strong support of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Industrial Technology Research Institute, Seafety AI (a brand under SOIC Marine Solutions Co., SMS) is dedicated to accelerating the innovation of smart maritime technologies.

Our flagship project is the THETIS Smart Vessel 智馭號, Taiwan’s first autonomous testing vessel (15 meters), which has laid the foundation for integrating autonomous navigation technology with innovative applications in real maritime environments.

Our work merges technologies such as low-earth orbit satellite (LEO) communications, marine meteorological and hydrographic surveys, and autonomous vessel applications to tackle long-standing issues like maritime labor shortages and enhance operational efficiency and safety at sea.
